Investee company, Metapack Limited ('Metapack') secures further funding
Further to the announcement of 31st July 2006 when Brainspark had taken part in
the £250,000 round of financing in Metapack Ltd, the leading UK provider of
delivery software for
multi-Channel home delivery, Brainspark is today announcing that Cotterford, an
investment company in the UK, have subscribed £ 400,000 for an issue of new
shares repesenting 17.78 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital.
Brainspark holds 30,000 shares in Metapack, which represented 10.58%
pre-investment and 8.23% post investment.
MetaPack already provides software solutions to leading retailers such as John
Lewis, B&Q, Boots, Dixons, PCWorld and Comet and will continue to benefit from
internet driven growth in home delivery. In addition, MetaPack sees significant
growth potential in providing 'software as a service' using an ASP architecture
and therefore intend to target medium-size companies in retail and non-retail
who currently use proprietary carrier management. systems.The new investment
will support ASP development and marketing.
