London, England, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada - Rambler Metals and Mining plc (AIM: RMM) ("Rambler" or the "Company"), a copper and gold producer, explorer and developer, announces that Eason (Cong) Chen is stepping down as Director and Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") with immediate effect.
Mr Chen was appointed as an Independent Director in 2012 and departs after an association of more than 10 years. Mr Chen is stepping down for personal reasons and will continue to be available to the Company through the CFO transition, at least until the end of July 2022.
Bradford Mills, Chairman commented:
"The Board would like to thank Eason for his long service as a Rambler Director and recent work as the Rambler CFO. He has been influential in helping build the Company over many years and he stepped in and served as CFO in the last 2 years. As CFO, Eason has been instrumental in securing finance for the Company through the difficult times created by the Covid-19 Pandemic and low copper price and has helped set up the business for success as its production ramps up to new highs going forward. We wish him well in his future endeavours."
Mr Chen is succeeded by Ms Celeste van Tonder as non-Board Interim CFO with immediate effect. Celeste is a Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years of natural resource experience having started her post-audit career with Anglo American and African Rainbow Minerals. Toby Bradbury, President and CEO commented:
"I would like to personally thank Eason for his support over the past two years. Together, we have tackled a challenging period for Rambler and the Company is stronger and better placed for the future. I would like also to take this opportunity to welcome Celeste van Tonder to Rambler. We look forward to the benefit of her experience as we grow our production and look to build the Company."
