Rambler's Underground Footwall Program Returns Encouraging Results
LONDON, ENGLAND and BAIE VERTE, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - Jan. 31, 2008) - Rambler Metals and
Mining plc (TSX VENTURE:RAB)(AIM:RMM) is pleased to announce the first lower footwall intersections from its
underground drilling delineation program.
- RMUG07-06 returned 17.9 meters of 1.85% copper
Including 10.5 metres of 2.25% copper
- RMUG07-09 returned 15.1 metres of 1.51% copper
- RMUG07-10 returned 70.3 metres of 1.06% copper
Including 13.0 metres of 1.88% copper
- RMUG08-14 returned 5.2 metres of 2.05% copper
Lower Footwall Zone (LFZ)
The upper portion of the Lower Footwall Zone historically reported copper grades of 1% with an average
thickness of 20 metres. Results from the first seven underground drill holes completed from the 740 and 1020
levels have confirmed multiple intersections of 20 metres, with grades of many of these zones approaching 1.5%
to 2% copper. Although the grades and widths are not as robust as the surface drilling results further down
plunge, these initial findings are encouraging since they exceed any of the previously reported mineralization.
Drill stations are currently developed on the 740, 1020, 1200 and 1400 levels targeting the lower footwall on a
50 metre drill spacing, which will allow the new results to be incorporated in Rambler's first NI43-101
resource estimate to be published in May 2008.

Larry Pilgrim, P.Geo and Independent Consultant comments:
"The assay results from the first seven underground drill holes specifically designed to target the footwall
zone are encouraging. The results confirm the historically reported widths with even better grades. It is
important to note that these holes tested the up dip extension of the footwall zone on the 740 and 1020 levels
and remain open up plunge. Recent and historical drilling has confirmed that the footwall zone extends down to
the 3200 level for a plunge length of 1700 meters (5,500 feet) with grades and widths increasing with depth
(see Rambler Metals and Mining Press Release dated 2nd October, 2007). The zone has not been cut off down-
plunge or up-plunge; this represents further additional drilling opportunity to add to the NI43-101 resource
estimate."

All tonnes are dry metric tonnes.
Drill intercepts quoted are core lengths; true widths for the footwall zone are estimated to be 90% to 95% of
the intersected core lengths. Analytical results for Rambler core in this press release were determined at
Eastern Analytical, Springdale, NL. Samples are then shipped by courier to Activation Laboratories Ltd.,
Ancaster Ontario, where a 34 element ICP analysis and gold fire assay are performed.
