Rambler Appoints George Ogilvie as President and CEO
LONDON, ENGLAND and BAIE VERTE, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwire - March 3, 2008) - Rambler Metals and
Mining plc (TSX VENTURE:RAB)(AIM:RMM) is pleased to announce the appointment of George Ogilvie, age 40, as
President and Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO, Stanley Neamonitis will remain on the Board of the Company
as a Non-Executive Director.
George Ogilvie's principal role as CEO is to build the Company from an exploration company into a mid-tier
mining company focusing on base metals in politically stable jurisdictions. His appointment comes during an
important time for the Company as the surface exploration drilling activity continues with encouraging results
and the completion for the dewatering of the mine remains on track for summer 2008.
George Ogilvie joined Rambler in November 2006 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and has more than
18 years management, operating and technical experience in the mining industry. George Ogilvie received his
B.Sc.(Hons.), Mining and Petroleum Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland in 1989. He
began his career working for Anglo American, where he worked for AngloGold in South Africa between 1989 and
1997, holding roles of increasing responsibility. In 1997 George Ogilvie transferred from AngloGold to work for
Anglo Base Metals at Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting in Northern Manitoba where he played a key operations role
as the Mine Superintendent at the Ruttan Mine. In 2003 he joined Dynatec Corporation as their Area Manager for
the Sudbury Basin, where he managed multi-million dollar contracts, and later worked at the McCreedy West Mine
as Mine Manger. Throughout his career the mines where George Ogilvie has run operations have been frequent
recipients of Mine Safety Awards. George Ogilvie is a registered P.Eng in Ontario and Newfoundland and holds a
Mine Managers Certificate (South Africa). He is currently undertaking his MBA studies.
Former CEO Stanley Neamonitis, an international commodities consultant with over forty years experience in
marketing and trading base metals, ores and concentrates, will remain on the Board of the Company as a
Director. His extensive knowledge of the base metals mining and smelting industries and commodities and trading
experience shall be invaluable.
George Ogilvie, President and CEO comments;
"I am delighted to be appointed President and CEO of Rambler. After working for the Company for a number of
years I remain committed to bringing the Rambler mine to production and ensuring the Company reaches its full
potential. I would also like to thank Stanley Neamonitis for his work as CEO."
Harry Dobson, Chairman, comments;
"George possesses the knowledge, experience and leadership qualities required to advance the Rambler Project
back to production in the fastest and most effective manner possible. This appointment reflects the Company's
strong growth outlook and we look forward to working closely together to drive the Company forward."
About the Company
Rambler was founded in 2004 when Altius Minerals Corporation ("Altius"), a Newfoundland and Labrador based
resource company, contributed to the Company's asset base an option to acquire and develop the Rambler
property.
The Rambler property had been a former underground copper and gold producing property that ceased production
when the deposit reached a then third party property boundary. This neighbouring property was subsequently
consolidated before being brought into the Company. The Company now owns a 100% interest in the property. The
principal activity of the Company is carrying out development and exploration on the Rambler Property, a
mineral exploration property located on Newfoundland and Labrador's Baie Verte Peninsula.
There are no further disclosures to be made regarding George Ogilvie in accordance with the AIM Rules.
