Director's Share Purchase

On 25 October 2007 Ian Burke, an Executive Director, notified the Company (under
the obligations imposed by paragraph DTR 3.1.2 R of the FSA's Disclosure &
Transparency Rules) that, on 25 October 2007, he purchased 20,000 Ordinary 13 8/
9p Shares in The Rank Group Plc at a price of 101.75p per share, thereby
increasing his notifiable beneficial share interests to 47,300 Ordinary Shares,
representing 0.01% of the total number of shares currently in issue.
