THE RANK GROUP LAUNCHES HARDROCKCASINO.COM


The Rank Group is pleased to announce the launch of HardRockCasino.com, its
online casino site. The site is operational from today and offers a variety of
games including roulette, blackjack and poker. The site operates from the Isle
of Man under a licence issued in January 2002.


HardRockCasino.com is Rank's second interactive gaming site and is operated by
its wholly owned subsidiary Rank Interactive Gaming (IOM) Limited. The first
site, Rank.com, was launched in November 2001 and offers a range of exclusive
fun-to-play and pay-to-play games.


HardRockCasino.com is part of Rank's ongoing strategy to combine the strengths
of the Hard Rock brand with Rank's gaming capability. Two Hard Rock casinos are
scheduled to open this year, the first in Manchester later this month and the
second in London in December.
