Management Limited on behalf of the Prudential plc group of companies that, as
at 20 January 2007, Prudential plc and certain of its subsidiary companies had a
notifiable non-material interest in 41,332,391 Ordinary 10p shares of The Rank
Group Plc representing 7.62% of the Issued Share Capital.

At the date of this announcement, the Issued Share Capital of The Rank Group Plc
is 542,358,756 Ordinary 10p Shares.
