- Notification of Major Interest in Shares

On 30 January 2007, the Company received notification from Deutsche Bank AG
London, under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure &
Transparency Rules that, as at 26 January 2007, Deutsche Bank AG no longer had a
notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to the Ordinary 10p shares of
The Rank Group Plc following the reduction of its interests in voting rights to
a level which is below the 3% notification threshold.
