(under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure &
Transparency Rules) that, as at 17 October 2007, Morgan Stanley Securities
Limited had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 13,983,251
Ordinary 13 8/9p shares of The Rank Group Plc as shown in the Schedule below,
representing 3.58% of the total voting rights in The Rank Group Plc.

below 3%) in the voting rights attached to Ordinary 13 8/9p shares of The Rank
Group Plc.
