Re: Credit Suisse - correction

After the market had closed on 8 November 2007, the Company received
notification from Credit Suisse that its aggregate share interests had NOT
fallen below the 3% threshold on 5 November 2007 as had been previously advised
to the Company.

Therefore, Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited continues to have a
notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 19,444,749 Ordinary 13 8/9p
shares of The Rank Group Plc (representing 4.98% of the total voting rights in
The Rank Group Plc) in accordance with the earlier announcement released by the
Company on 6 November 2007.
