The Hermes UK Focus Fund

On 18 February 2009 Hermes Investment Management Limited notified the Company (under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules) that, as at 17 February 2009, The Hermes UK Focus Fund had a notifiable direct interest in the voting rights attached to 15,536,932 ordinary 13 8/9p shares of The Rank Group Plc ('Rank'), representing 3.978% of the issued share capital of Rank.
