On 21 August 2008, the Company received notification from BNP Paribas London Branch (under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules) that, as at 20 August 2008, BNP Paribas Arbitrage SNC had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 22,631,318 Ordinary 13 8/9p shares of The Rank Group Plc representing 5.7950% of the total voting rights in The Rank Group Plc.
