- Notification of Major Interest in Shares

On 13 March 2009, The Rank Group Plc ('Rank') received notification from Devon County Council that, as at 4 March 2009, it had ceased to have a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to ordinary 13 8/9p shares of Rank.

Devon County Council's former indirect interest arose by virtue of its relationship with Hermes Focus Asset Management Limited.
