The Hermes UK Focus Fund

On 12 December 2008 Hermes Investment Management Limited notified the Company (under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules) that, as at 11 December 2008, The Hermes UK Focus Fund had a notifiable direct interest in the voting rights attached to 25,710,505 Ordinary 13 8/9p shares of The Rank Group Plc ('Rank'), representing 6.584% of the issued share capital of Rank.
