On 20 February 2007, the Company received notification from Legal & General
Investment Management, under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the
FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules that, as at 20 February 2007, Legal &
General Group Plc had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to
19,234,840 Ordinary 10p shares of The Rank Group Plc (registered, or to be
registered in the names set out in the Schedule below) representing 3.54% of the
total voting rights in The Rank Group Plc.
