- Notification of Major Interest in Shares
On 22 February 2007, the Company received notification from AXA Investment
Managers UK Limited, under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's
Disclosure & Transparency Rules that, as at 20 February 2007, AXA S.A. and its
group of companies had a notifiable direct interest in the voting rights
attached to 18,524,260 Ordinary 10p shares of The Rank Group Plc ('Rank')
representing 3.42% of the total voting rights in Rank.
In addition, on that same date, it had a notifiable indirect interest in the
voting rights attached to 2,984,789 Ordinary 10p shares representing 0.55% of
the total voting rights in Rank.
Taken together, these notifiable interests amount to 21,509,049 Ordinary 10p
shares representing 3.97% of the total voting rights in Rank.
