On 5 December 2006, the Company received notification from Barclays PLC, under
the obligations imposed by Sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985 that,
as at 28 November 2006, it had a notifiable interest in 21,890,215 Ordinary 10p
shares of The Rank Group Plc (in respect of the legal entities and registered,
or to be registered, in the names set out in the Schedule below) representing
4.04% of the issued share capital of The Rank Group Plc.
