- Notification of Major Interest in Shares

On 21 March 2007, the Company received a notification from
Fidelity International Limited ('FIL'), under the obligations imposed by the
FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules (the 'DTR Rules') that, as at 19 March
2007, it had a notifiable indirect interest in the voting rights attached to
34,488,035 Ordinary 10p shares of The Rank Group Plc ('Rank') representing 6.36%
of the total voting rights in Rank.

Prior to the implementation of the EU Transparency Directive, the interests of
FMR Corp ('FMR') and Fidelity International Limited ('FIL') were aggregated for
the purposes of shareholder reporting.

In accordance with the new DTR Rules, FIL is now reporting the indirect holdings
of FMR and FIL separately. FMR currently has no holdings in Rank.
