- Notification of Major Interest in Shares

On 19 December 2006, the Company received notification from
Fidelity International (on behalf of FMR Corp ('FMR'), Fidelity International
Limited ('FIL') and Mr Edward C. Johnson 3d - a principal shareholder in FMR and
FIL), under the obligations imposed by Sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act
1985 that, as at 18 December 2006, it had a notifiable interest in 53,214,362
Ordinary 10p shares (in the nominee or registered name as set out in the
Schedule below) representing 9.81% of the issued share capital of The Rank Group
Plc.
