                      RANK GROUP ANNOUNCES BOARD CHANGES

The Rank Group Plc announces that Jerry Fowden, previously Managing Director
of its Holidays Division, will resign as a Director following this year's
Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday 26 April 2001.

Non-executive Directors Hugh Jenkins and Christine Morin-Postel will also be
retiring after the meeting, having both served for over 5 years.

Sir Denys Henderson, Rank's Chairman, said:-

'We are very grateful to Jerry, Hugh and Christine for their contributions to
Rank and all depart with our best wishes for the future. I would personally
like to thank each of them for their support during a challenging period.'
