Notification of a Transaction by a Director and Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility

On 4 August 2009 a director and PDMR, Paul Chavasse, sold 2,000 Rathbone Brothers Plc ordinary shares at £7.785. 1,625 shares were subsequently purchased for his Individual Saving Account (ISA) and 375 shares were purchased for his spouse's ISA at £7.795 

The shares are registered in the name of Rathbone Nominees Limited and following these transactions there is no change to his declarable beneficial holding of 49,179 shares (0.114% of the issued share capital).
