Board change
Viscount Lifford, who joined the board in 1996, has notified the Company of his
intention to retire from the board with effect from 31 December 2006. Whilst
reducing his management and group responsibilities and working three days per
week from the New Year, he will remain a director of Rathbone Investment
Management (C.I.) Limited in Jersey, becoming its chairman, and will devote his
time to his existing and potential clients from the Winchester office.
Mark Powell, chairman of Rathbones said 'James Lifford has done a remarkable job
during the last ten years and we are delighted that we will continue to have the
benefit of his considerable expertise'.
