Rathbone Brothers PLC 08 March 2006 8 March 2006 Rathbone Brothers Plc Appointment of Non-Executive Directors Rathbones appoints two new non-executive directors Rathbone Brothers Plc ('Rathbones') has appointed two additional independent non-executive directors to its Board with effect from 7 March 2006. Oliver Corbett Oliver Corbett, aged 41, is group finance director of SVB Holdings PLC. He is a chartered accountant and worked for SG Warburg, Phoenix Securities (later Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette) and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he was managing director, emerging companies, before joining SVB in October 2003. Mark Robertshaw Mark Robertshaw, aged 37, is currently chief financial officer and chief operating officer of The Morgan Crucible Company plc and, as announced on 20 February 2006, is due to become chief executive later in the year. Prior to joining Morgan Crucible in 2004 he was chief financial officer of Gartmore Investment Management Plc for four years. He previously worked for the NatWest Group and also spent nine years as a management consultant with Marakon Associates. Mark Powell, chairman of Rathbones, commented: 'Both Oliver and Mark have wide ranging experience in the financial sector and elsewhere, as well as keen intellects. We are greatly looking forward to their participation in our affairs.'
