Rautaruukki received additional order for steel...
Press release 2 February 2009
Rautaruukki is supplying and installing steel bridge superstructures
for the Partihallsförbindelsen bridge in Gothenburg, Sweden. The new
additional order is worth approximately EUR 3 million.
Last year Ruukki announced a contract worth around EUR 9 million for
the same bridge. This new order is also for the delivery and
installation of steel superstructures and takes the total value of
Ruukki's delivery to over EUR 12 million.
When complete, the bridge will be 1.2 km long. It will be located
between Ånäsmotet on the E20 road and Marieholm on the E45 road. The
bridge is part of the Swedish Road Administration's
Partihallsförbindelsen road link project, which is currently the most
important road project in the Gothenburg area. Ruukki is working
closely with the main contractor, Skanska Sverige AB, and the bridge
designer, Ramböll Sverige AB.
Ruukki is also supplying steel structures for a bridge crossing the
Hudälven river, about 120 kilometres north of Gothenburg.
