Following the approval of a new executive share option scheme by shareholders in
2000, Trinity Mirror plc granted on 20th April 2001 options over ordinary 10p
shares to the following directors, at an option price of 452 pence (the average
of the middle market quotations of the three days preceding 20th April 2001.
