Board change at Trinity Mirror
Trinity Mirror plc announces today that Margaret Ewing, Group Finance
Director, is leaving the company.
Margaret, who joined the Board of Trinity Mirror plc in January 2000, will
leave on the 30th June 2002 to take up the appointment as Group Finance
Director with BAA plc.
Trinity Mirror has started the process of identifying and selecting candidates
for this position. A further announcement will be made in due course.
Philip Graf, Chief Executive of Trinity Mirror plc, said: 'Margaret is an
asset for any Board. Her capacity for work, determination and expertise are
qualities that have helped shape our future direction. Margaret leaves the
company in sound financial health and our very best wishes go with her as she
embarks on a challenging new career.'
Margaret Ewing, 46, said: 'The merger, which took place just before I joined,
presented clear challenges but Trinity Mirror is now well placed and in
excellent shape for the future.'
