On 12th October 1999 the Trustee, BT Trustees Limited, of the Mirror Group plc
1991 Employee Benefit Trust (the 'Trust') notified Mirror Group plc that it
had on 8th october 1999 released, for no consideration, outstanding awards
under the Mirror Group plc 1991 Share Award Scheme following the successful
offer for Mirror Group plc by Trinity Mirror plc as follows:

Following these awards the Trustees hold a total of 170,294 ordinary shares in
