Trinity Mirror PLC 1 July 2002 Monday 1st July 2002 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sale of Ethnic Media Group Trinity Mirror plc ('Trinity Mirror'), the UK's largest newspaper publisher, announces that it has sold Ethnic Media Group Limited ('EMG') to a management buy-out for £10.25 million in cash, with £1 million deferred for two years. The EMG portfolio comprises five national Asian and African-Caribbean titles, including Eastern Eye and New Nation. Trinity Mirror acquired EMG as part of its Southnews acquisition in October 2000.
