GENERIC ANNOUNCEMENT



The Company has today received notification that FMR Corp. and its direct and
indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited and its direct and
indirect subsidiaries, have non-beneficial interests in 20,387,489 (previously
17,611,068) Trinity Mirror Ordinary Shares, representing 7.00% (previously
6.05%) of the issued share capital.
