GENERIC ANNOUNCEMENT



The Company has today received notification that FMR Corp. and its direct and
indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited and its direct and
indirect subsidiaries, have non-beneficial interests in 23,383,549 (previously
20,387,489) Trinity Mirror Ordinary Shares, representing 8.03% (previously
7.00%) of the issued share capital.
