GENERIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Company has today received notification from The Capital Group Companies,
Inc. on behalf of its affiliates, including Capital Guardian Trust Company, 
Capital International Limited, Capital International S.A., and Capital 
International, Inc. have non-beneficial interests in 32,253,059 (previously 
31,818,039) Trinity Mirror Ordinary Shares, representing 11.08% (previously 
10.93%) of the issued share capital .
