Dealings in REI Shares


REI announces that on 1 July 2005 the following transactions in the Company's
ordinary 1p shares took place:

- Peter Lewin, Chief Executive, acquired 1,250,000 ordinary shares at
10.5p per share.  Mr Lewin's total beneficial shareholding is now 6,250,000
ordinary shares representing 15.09% of the Company's share capital.  Mr Lewin's
interests are held by himself and Denton & Co Trustees Limited as trustees of
The Lewin Retirement Scheme of which Mr Lewin is the sole beneficiary.


- Naroti Resources SA acquired 1,250,000 ordinary shares.  Naroti
Resources SA now holds 3,750,000 ordinary shares representing 9.05% of the
Company's share capital.


- Ponthall Securities Limited disposed of 2,500,000 ordinary shares and
no longer has a notifiable interest in the share capital of the Company.
