The Real Good Food Company plc
Result of Annual General Meeting
The Real Good Food Company plc, the food manufacturing group, operating in the
ambient, chilled and frozen sectors of the market, is pleased to announce that
at the Company's AGM held at 10am today, Tuesday 29 May, all resolutions were
duly passed by shareholders.
Commenting on trading in the first four months of 2007, Chairman Pieter Totte
said;
'Trading has been consistent with the update provided in March at the time of
our Preliminary Statement. Napier Brown Foods, our sugar division, has seen
volume ahead of last year, reflecting wins in retail and industrial sectors, but
margins slightly down. This is in line with expectations.
'Sales in Five Star Fish remain significantly ahead of last year due to price
inflation and some volume gains. Raw material cost increases continue to be
reflected in selling price changes.
'In Renshaws, our Bakery Ingredients division, year on year sales are down
principally due to the discontinued nut sales made in early 2006 but also due to
a slow start to the year with our bakery customers. However, Renshaw generates
virtually all of its profits in the second half of the year and we believe that
this shortfall will be recovered.
'Haydens have made a steady start to the year with sales ahead of last year and
in line with expectations.
'Overall the Board is satisfied with the encouraging start to the year.'
