                      Appointment of Non-executive Director

Red Rock Resources plc ('Red Rock' or the 'Company') the mineral exploration and
development company focussed on advancing iron ore, uranium and manganese
projects in Australia and in East Africa announced today the appointment of
Michael Nott as a non-executive director of the Company on 22 September 2006.

Michael Nott, age 57, has B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology from Queen Mary College,
University London and an M.Sc in Mineral Production Management from the Royal
School of Mines, Imperial College, University of London and is a Chartered
Engineer. He is a Fellow of the Institution of materials, Mining & Metallurgy, a
Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying and a Fellow of the Minerals Engineering
Society. Michael Nott brings 34 years of experience in mineral exploration and
mining to Red Rock. He began his career as an exploration and mining geologist,
moving into the management of aggregate quarrying operations and then to senior
roles in the aggregate and industrial mineral sector. He is currently chief
executive officer of Magyar Mining Plc and managing director of Alba Mineral
Resources plc. Previous positions have included periods with: ARC Southern Ltd,
as trading director; Hills Aggregates Ltd, as director and general manager; and
Roan Consolidated Mines Ltd - Zambia, as exploration and senior mining
geologist.
