The board of the Company are sorry to learn of the death of the Chairman of Jupiter Mines Limited ("JMS"), Mr Geoff Wedlock, in a plane crash on Saturday in West Africa. The Company would like to offer its sincerest condolences to his family and wide circle of friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

To ensure corporate stability and continuity for JMS over this difficult period, and particularly ahead of the JMS Extraordinary General Meeting to be held  in August (where shareholders will be asked to vote on the Tshipi acquisition), Mr Brian Gilbertson will join the JMS board forthwith as a non-executive director. Mr Gilbertson will also temporarily assume the position of Acting Non-Executive Chairman.
