Redrow Group plc confirms that:-

a)   Robert Brannock Jones, a non-executive director of the Company, purchased
     2,000 shares at a purchase price of £1.67 per share on the 16 September
     1999.

b)   Neil Fitzsimmons, Finance Director of the Company, purchased 5,000 shares
     at a purchase price of £1.68 per share on the 20 September 1999.

c)   The Trust for the Company's Long Term Share Incentive Plan, namely Abacus
     Trust Company (Isle of Man), purchased 176,105 shares in the Company at a
     purchase price of £1.69 on the 17 September 1999.
