HOLDING IN COMPANY

Redrow plc has received notification on 3 February 2005 from Morgan Stanley
Securities Limited ('MSSL') that their notifiable interest constitutes 3.01%
(4,788,836 ordinary shares) of the issued share capital of Redrow plc.

The notification also stated that MSSL have transferred from time to time
4,412,060 shares to a third party on terms which gives them the right to require
the return of an equivalent number of shares.  Accordingly, their interest in
4,412,060 shares is pursuant to Section 208(5) of the Act.
