Mikkel Tørud appointed new Investor Relations ...

Sandvika, December 18, 2009; Mikkel Tørud has from January 1, 2010, been
appointed Vice President & Investor Relations Officer, reporting to EVP & CFO
Bjørn Brenna.

Tørud joined REC October 1, 2007 and comes from the position as Director
Business Development in REC Solar AS. He has recently been involved in the wafer
division with sales contracts, establishment of REC Systems and provided
analysis of PV market & industry trends for REC Group management. Before joining
REC, Tørud worked as Commercial Advisor for BP Norway and several years as
Management Consultant for PA Consulting Group. Tørud holds a Master of Science
degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from Norwegian
University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.

Mikkel Tørud replaces Jon Andre Løkke who has been SVP & Investor Relations
Officer since 2006. Løkke will assist in the transition period.
