SHANKS GROUP PLC HOSTS
ANALYST & INVESTOR VISIT TO EUROPEAN OPERATIONS

Shanks Group plc announces that today and tomorrow it will be hosting a site
visit for analysts and investors to waste management facilities in the
Netherlands and Italy.

The purpose of the visit is to provide analysts and investors with the
opportunity to enhance their understanding of Shanks Group's strategy.

During the visit no new material information will be disclosed and any comments
on current trading will be consistent with the update given at Shanks Group's
interim results on 4 November 2004.
