Annual Report and Accounts 2008

Copies of the above document incorporating the Notice of Meeting together with the Form of Proxy for the forthcoming Annual General Meeting will be posted to shareholders today. These documents will be available for inspection shortly at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility situated at the Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.

At the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held on 24 July 2008 it is proposed that the Company adopts new Articles of Association. A summary of the proposed principal changes is set out in the appendix to the Notice of Meeting. A copy of the proposed new Articles of Association has also been lodged with the FSA and will be available for inspection during normal business hours from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) at both Shanks House, 211 Blochairn Road, Blochairn, Glasgow G21 2RL and at the offices of Dickson Minto W.S, 22/25 Finsbury Square, London EC2A 1 DX. The Annual Report and Accounts and proposed new Articles of Association will also be available on the Shanks Group plc website at www.shanks.co.uk
