Shanks Group plc, one of Europe's largest independent waste management
companies, serving customers in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, will be
announcing its Interim Results for the six months ended 30 September 2006, on
Wednesday 8 November 2006.

An analyst presentation will take place at ABN AMRO, 250 Bishopsgate, London,
EC2M 4AA, at 9:30 am on the morning of the results.
