Shanks Group plc, a leading European waste management company, serving customers
in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, will be announcing its Interim Results
for the first six months ended 30 September 2005, on Thursday 3 November 2005.

An analyst presentation will take place at ABN AMRO, 250 Bishopsgate, London
EC2M 4AA, at 9:30 am on the morning of the results.
