Alstom contract award


Renold plc is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a USD 14 million
contract extension to supply couplings and gearboxes to Alstom for the New York
Mass Transit Authority. This contract is phase 2 of a 3 phase schedule and is
expected to be fulfilled over an 18 month period commencing May 2008.


Renold will issue its interim results on 20 November 2007. The Board will
confirm trading is in line with expectations and its positive outlook for the
remainder of the year including the benefits of its recent acquisition Renold
Hangzhou and progress with its PACE programme.
