Renold plc, the international power transmission and precision technology
group, announced today that David Cotterill has elected to step down as Group
Chief Executive and to take early retirement. Ian Trotter, currently Chain
Division Managing Director, has been appointed to succeed him with effect from
1 May 2001.
David Cotterill has played an important part in re-shaping the Group in the

him a long and happy retirement.

the Chain Division. He is well equipped to continue the Group's development.
