Renold plc ('Renold' or 'the Company')
Result of Extraordinary General Meeting
At an Extraordinary General Meeting of Renold held today, an ordinary
resolution was passed to approve the acquisition by the Company's subsidiary,
Jeffrey Chain Acquisition Company Inc., of all of the outstanding common stock
of Jeffrey Chain Corporation and all of the partnership interests in Jeffrey
Chain LP (together 'Jeffrey Chain').
It is expected that completion of the acquisition of Jeffrey Chain will take
place on Friday, 31 March 2000.
