RENTOKIL INITIAL MAKES £3.3M SECURITY ACQUISITION IN USA
Rentokil Initial, the global business services company,
announces that it has purchased the share capital of CPS
Security Inc, a US security guarding company.
CPS, a privately owned company trading as Collins
Security, operates in the greater Los Angeles,
California, area. In 2000 it had turnover of circa $12m
(£8m).
Purchase consideration, payable in cash, is $4.9m
(£3.3m).
Commenting upon this acquisition, Sir Clive Thompson,
Rentokil Initial Chief Executive, said:-
'The purchase of Collins, which will be a high quality
bolt-on to our existing Californian security guarding
operation, continues our selective programme of
acquisitions aimed at strengthening our presence in the
principal US regional markets.'
