Rentokil Initial seeks authority to re-purchase shares
At the time of the interim results in August 1999,
Rentokil Initial announced that it was implementing a
strategy of returning cash to shareholders. As part of
this plan and in order to give the company the
flexibility of being able to buy back its shares in the
market, Rentokil Initial now announces that it is seeking
shareholders' authority to re-purchase up to 286.6
million shares (i.e. 10% of its issued share capital).
A circular convening an Extraordinary General Meeting to
seek such authority will shortly be posted to
shareholders.
