APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Rentokil Initial plc (FTSE: RTO) today announces the appointment of Julie Southern to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 21 July 2014. Julie will also become Chair of the Audit Committee on her appointment to the Board.
Julie Southern has extensive financial and commercial experience working in international markets. Most recently she was Chief Commercial Officer of Virgin Atlantic Limited between 2010 and 2013, responsible for the commercial strategy of Virgin Atlantic Airways and Virgin Holidays. Prior to this, Julie was Chief Financial Officer of Virgin Atlantic Limited for 10 years from 2000 to 2010. She has also held a number of additional senior financial roles including Group Finance Director at Porsche Cars Great Britain and Finance and Operations Director at HJ Chapman & Co. She is currently a Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit Committee for NXP Semi-Conductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) and a chartered accountant, having begun her career at Price Waterhouse.
As previously announced, Duncan Tatton-Brown, Chair of the Audit Committee, retired after serving nine years on the Board, following Rentokil Initial's AGM earlier this year.
