           RENTOKIL INITIAL DISPOSAL PROGRAMME
                            
Rentokil  Initial announces disposals amounting  to  £32m
which  include the mobile crane business of  Initial  GWS
and  the  Initial UK Transport business.  In 1999,  these
businesses had turnover of £89m and operating profits  of
£6.7m.

Commenting on the disposals, Chief Executive,  Sir  Clive
Thompson said:

'These  disposals bring total proceeds to £594m  in  line
with  the  target  of  at least £600m  with  negotiations
continuing   with  potential  buyers  of   UK   Personnel
Services.'
