RENTOKIL INITIAL plc ('Rentokil Initial')
Notification of major interest in shares
Under the Companies Act 1985 (as amended), Rentokil
Initial now gives formal notice that the shares held by
its subsidiary, Ratin A/S, have been cancelled and,
accordingly, Ratin A/S no longer has an interest in any
shares in Rentokil Initial. The 102,120,957 shares held
by Sophus Berendsen A/S now represent 4.7 per cent of the
issued share capital of Rentokil Initial.
Share buy back programme
Rentokil Initial has posted a Circular and Notice of
Extraordinary General Meeting to shareholders, to approve
a new authority to make further market purchases of up to
15 per cent of its own shares. The Extraordinary General
Meeting will be held at the office of Denton Wilde Sapte,
One Fleet Place, London EC4M 7WS at 4.00 p.m. on 25th
September 2000.
